Christy King

Executive Search Partner

I am a former accountant turned talent acquisition professional.  I loved the cleanliness of working with numbers and how everything had to balance at the end of the month, but there was a human element of the work that was missing for me. However, I could always stay engaged because I felt a commitment to my organizations mission, vision, and values. As I contemplated a career change, it was that feeling of being able to work for an organization I was proud of and supported that compelled me to a career in talent acquisition. Being the conduit that brings people to organizations they can thrive in and be proud to support have become my professional passion.

Since moving into recruitment seven years ago I have been both a full cycle recruiter and sourcer for roles in retained, executive searches as well as corporate recruiting at the leadership level. I have supported multiple industries and positions from technology, manufacturing to healthcare serving as a consultative partner to stakeholders and a brand ambassador for organizations. I have significant experience working in the DEIB space that led and supported initiatives of bringing diversity into organizations. This is an area I am proud to work within and moving the needle!  I have taken my accounting experience of using numbers to tell a story to using market data in recruitment to tell a story to our clients and hiring leaders.  I love looking at a resume and wondering “what is that person’s story” and digging in to find out more as I know firsthand our career paths aren’t always linear.

In my free time I enjoy cooking for my family (Sunday dinners are a favorite in the King house) and trying out new recipes.  My husband and I are nearly empty nesters and are learning what to do with ourselves but enjoy spending time at home with our three dogs, working on household projects and the occasional road trip to find a dive bar or hidden gem restaurant with great food.
